Obtaining a tourist licence - Italy

Modified on Tue, 5 Nov at 10:16 AM

Starting January 1, 2025, properties in Italy will be required to have a CIN (National Identification Code) to stay active on listing channels. This regulation is being rolled out by several channels, and they may reach out to you directly about it.

Our platform will be ready to support this new requirement before the deadline, though CIN entry is currently available only on our web version. We are actively working on mobile app support as well.

What you need to do

Update Your Listings: If you already have a CIN or meet an exemption criteria (e.g., long-term rentals only), please add this information to your Travelnest account under the "Local Licence and Tourist Tax" section on each listing.

Requesting a CIN: If you need to request a CIN, follow the instructions in this guide for a step-by-step process.

Channels may begin unlisting properties without a CIN starting January 1, 2025, meaning unlisted properties will not be visible or bookable by guests.
