Hosting rules in Turkey

Modified on Fri, 7 Nov at 4:49 PM

Indroduction

From 1 January 2024, under Law No. 7464 and its implementing regulation, property owners who wish to market their residences for short‑term tourist rentals must obtain a permit certificate from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Turkey) and display the permit number in all listings.

How to apply

You can submit your application for a permit certificate via the Turkish e‑Government portal.

If you’re unsure whether your property requires a permit or need clarification on additional regional requirements, contact your local authorities. For general enquiries, you may email: konutbelgelendirme@ktb.gov.tr

Key deadline

For hosts listing properties on platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com, you must include your valid permit number by 2 June 2024. Listings without one may be removed, and the host may face fines.
