How do you manage my Travelnest calendar?

Modified on Fri, 20 Sep at 12:42 PM

We work with well-known booking and travel sites, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Vrbo, Holidu, and HomeToGo, along with approximately 25 additional affiliate sites integrated into the main booking site networks.

Once you've published your account with us to advertise your property on over 30 top booking sites, the Travelnest calendar will sync with all the booking sites you've selected in your Travelnest account. This means that if you receive a booking through Travelnest from Booking.com, our calendar will automatically block those dates on all the websites where you're listing your property with us.

This process will help you be more efficient in managing your availability and save you time, as you'll only need to manage the Travelnest calendar.

Additionally, you can use our iCal synchronisation tool to connect calendars from external listings outside of Travelnest, such as your own website or Google Calendar. This makes it easier to manage your availability and reduces the risk of double bookings.

External calendars might include

  • Your own website

  • An online booking system like SuperControl

  • Outside listing not managed by Travelnest (e.g. a separate listing on Airbnb or Booking.com)

If you choose not to use our iCal synchronisation tool to connect calendars from external listings outside of Travelnest, any booked or manually blocked dates received from external sources must be manually blocked in your Travelnest calendar.

Good to know: When we accept a booking for you from a booking site that's managed by Travelnest, this takes precedence over any alternative bookings that were not on your calendar at the time of the booking.

Frequently asked questions

1. Does Travelnest work with instant booking?

Travelnest uses Instant Book for all bookings on the booking sites we work with, as these sites prioritise listings with Instant Book enabled.

When you become a Travelnest customer, Instant Book is automatically enabled for all properties and listings managed through our platform, providing the benefit of increasing your booking efficiency and making the reservation process smoother for both hosts and guests.

2. What happens if I need to cancel a booking?

As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to charge you a £50 admin fee, per cancelled booking, where a double booking has arisen as a result of a failure to use iCal or block externally booked or unavailable dates manually. To avoid this fee, connect your calendars with iCal and block any unavailable dates manually.

If you need assistance to cancel a booking, please read our guide here for instructions.
