Communicating with your guests is essential for providing a smooth and enjoyable experience. With the Travelnest mobile app, you can easily send and receive messages from your Airbnb and Booking.com guests directly from your mobile device.
Here’s how you can manage your guest communications effectively using the mobile app
How to access the Messages Tab
- Start by opening the Travelnest app on your mobile device.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap on the “Messages” tab. This is where all your guest communications are organised.
How to choose a conversation
The Messages tab displays a list of your current conversations. Each entry represents a different booking or enquiry as follows:
- Booking conversations: These are messages related to confirmed bookings.
- Enquiries: If a potential guest has questions before booking, their messages will appear here.
- Cancelled or Processing Bookings: You can also find messages related to bookings that are either cancelled or in the process of confirmation.
How to open a conversation
Select the conversation you want to reply to by tapping on it. This will open the full message thread.
How to reply to Messages
Use the text field at the bottom of the screen to type your response. When you’re ready, tap the send button (indicated by an arrow) to deliver your message.
How to attach photos or files
If you need to share images or documents, tap the “+” icon next to the message field. You can choose to:
- Add photos from your library: Share pictures directly from your device.
- Choose files: Send other types of files that may be useful for your guest.
Additional communication options
- How to view booking details: To check the details of a booking, tap on the booking information at the top of the message thread. This will open a detailed view where you can see the booking dates, guest details, payment information, and more.
- How to call your guest: If you prefer to speak directly with your guest, you can initiate a phone call by tapping the phone icon at the top of the conversation screen.
Currently, the Travelnest app supports messaging with Airbnb and Booking.com guests. However, we are working on expanding our platform to include more booking sites, so you’ll be able to manage all your guest communications in one place.
By following these steps, you can ensure prompt and effective communication with your guests, helping to provide them with an exceptional stay.
